ECOFEST 2017

Cedar Rapids 8th Annual EcoFest promises Good Green Fun for the whole family! This FREE Earth Day celebration, a collaboration of Prairiewoods, Sierra Club, Trees Forever, Linn County Conservation and others, will be held in the NewBo district of Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 22; Earth Day.

The event features environmental education and fun with themes in sustainability, alternative energy, arts and local food. Visitors can participate in kid-friendly interactive displays, an Eco-film fest hosted at CSPS, a live music lineup, information on pollinators, a live raptor show, a nature play area and much more.  EcoFest is again giving away a new bicycle from Goldfinch Cyclery.

This is a FREE public event. For a more detailed schedule of activities, films, musical performances and classes offered visit www.ecofestcr.org. Most displays and activities will be located at the NewBo City Market- primarily outdoors if the day allows, or indoors if it is raining. Other indoor events will take place at CSPS, directly across from NewBo City Market.
