Flyover Fashion Fest, a two-day fashion, music and art festival is returning to Downtown Iowa City on May 5th and 6th 2017. The festival will feature emerging fashion, design and creative talent through a unique mix of runway events, presentations, exhibitions and performances.
The first half of the 2017 lineup will feature: Nicole Leth -Designer/Founder of Sex + Ice Cream, Sarah Kissell – Former Senior Art Director for Nasty Gal, Noor Tagouri – Journalist and Style Influencer, Grace Dunham: Model, Actress, Writer, Virgie Tovar: Author, Activist and Leading Expert on Body Image, Jackie Lyden – Founder of The Seams Podcast, Marissa Mueller – Editor at Conde Nast, Alex O’Brien – Visual Artist and Brand Strategist, Jason Smith – Visual Artist, Lindsay Chastain – Designer: Sauvaged Jewelry, Alisabeth Von Presley – Creator of Tint, Nicole Lorenson, Founder of Preservation // DelveMIY, Jack Lion – Experimental Jazz and Electronic Band, Caleb Condit – Electronic Musician.
“It’s an understatement to say that we’re excited for the community to experience the second year of Flyover Fashion Fest”, commented Simeon Talley, Flyover Fashion Fest co-creator. “The lineup this year is exciting and the events will be more experiential”, he continued.
“This year we focused on building a festival that is meant to be experienced from start to finish and top to bottom,” added Amanda Lesmeister, Flyover Fashion Fest co-creator. “It’s much more industry focused and we are bringing in influencers that play a very important role in the fashion industry.”
